Workers with God
God will honor and uphold every true- hearted, earnest soul who is seeking to walk before Him in the perfection of Christ's grace. He will never leave nor forsake one humble, trembling soul. Shall we believe that He will work in our hearts? that if we allow Him to do so, He will make us pure and holy, by His rich grace qualifying us to be laborers together with Him? Can we with keen, sanctified perception appreciate the strength of His promises, and appropriate them, not because we are worthy, but because by living faith we claim the righteousness of Christ?
In giving light to His people anciently, God did not work exclusively through any one class. Daniel was a prince of Judah. Isaiah also was of the royal line. David was a shepherd boy, Amos a herdsman, Zechariah a captive from Babylon, Elisha a tiller of the soil. The Lord raised up as His representatives prophets and princes, the noble and the lowly, and taught them the truths to be given to the world. To every one who becomes a partaker of His grace, the Lord appoints a work for others. . . .
Let all cultivate their physical and mental powers to the utmost of their ability, that they may work for God where His providence shall call them. The same grace that came from Christ to Paul and Apollos, that distinguished them for spiritual excellencies, will today be imparted to devoted Christian missionaries. God desires His children to have intelligence and knowledge, that with unmistakable clearness and power His glory may be revealed in our world. . . .
Men deficient in school education, lowly in social position, have, through the grace of Christ, sometimes been wonderfully successful in winning souls for Him. The secret of their success was their confidence in God. They learned daily of Him who is wonderful in counsel and mighty in power.
Everyone in whose heart Christ abides, everyone who will show forth His love to the world, is a worker together with God for the blessing of humanity. As he receives from the Saviour grace to impart to others, from his whole being flows forth the tide of spiritual life.
There is no limit to the usefulness of one who, by putting self aside, makes room for the working of the Holy Spirit upon his heart, and lives a life wholly consecrated to God. DA 250, 251.
God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led, if they could see the end from the beginning, and discern the glory of the purpose which they are fulfilling as coworkers with Him. DA 224, 225.
I hate that things happen and I have no control but that is the story of my life.I hate the fact that My Mo started to miscarry with me and greatfully it was stopped. I was born breech with the cord around my neck 3 times and still I endured. I was hospitolized 7 times in 7 months due to asthma in the sixties and yet I endured. At age 10 I got a bone marrow infection ( Austiomialidus) and yet pressed on. I was supposedly allergic to myself or( had no immunity to fight infection and had enlarged adnoids which equalled a built in infection) the doctor was a QUACK. When they remove tonsils, they remove the adnoids. Shots every week and then within a year I had ITP.Still God did what God does so well. I was told I was a friek to medical science because with only 57,000 platelets you can't have a normal bleeding time which I had. God is always there. I went through some wierd stuff to the point I subjected myself to acceptance by anyone who would think I was pretty and normal at 14. Unfortunately I lived next door to a preditor. You know what God is still there and He taught me alot about forgiveness. It took quite a few years but I leave it to God to punish or make equal the balance of justice. Now I need to forgive the cops that let it go and let him threaten me . Just 3 weeks ago I told my daughter to stop talking to the cop and telling her they are no more and no better than strangers that might hurt her. How many corrupt cops are there? That is my challenge. I know his name and what he looks like, his approximate age but you never know what cops are liars.
If you want to try again I can set up a stream you should be able to get. First try a test stream set up at:
http://www.lifetalk.net/listenHere.html
Choose the third option down. It will say "LifeTalk Radio 64k" This test stream should downgrade to about 20k. See if you can make this new link work for LifeTalk Radio. If it does work ok for you I will set up a new link for LifeTalk Kids for you to try.
Hi Monique! We don't have any mental institutions in the Kootenays. We have one small mental ward in a hospital 3 hours from Nakusp.....so I don't think God is calling me to do that either. I want to be a Bible worker with all my heart, but so far I haven't been able to go to the school that teaches that so I just do what I can to help my neighbours. I am sure God wants me to befriend and help my neighbours.. And I am still getting more radio stations started. I was hauling in citrus fruit off the semi tonight as a fundraiser for church stuff too. I get lots of ideas of what I think God might want me to do, but by the time I run them all by my head elder there are only a precious few left and they seem to be the ones that are best for my church and community. I just plain out ask God what to do and I get floods of ideas. I believe I am doing just what He said after they all go through my head elder that is. The stuff I do for my neighbours I just figure into what time I have to do stuff.
I am going to be gone all day tomorrow so please don't be disappointed if I don't reply again till Thursday, okay? Please tell me what you do for God in your community. I am very interested.

Well now that is a great idea, but I have to be careful to put most of my focus into doing what the Lord has called me to do. We as believers can become busy doing good things but if it is not what the Lord has told you to do then it really isn't worth doing. The Lord has put each and everyone of us here for a particular purpose, and I don't want to miss out on the wonderful blessing that the Lord has for me while I am here on this earth when I start to walk in the things that he has called me to. Grant it that there will be times when I might have to help out in areas that are not necessarily my calling but I will be careful not to stay in that to long or else I will get burnt out (which is what happens when we try to walk in someon elses gift or calling). The Lord has made me a worshipper (I love to dance and sing for him) but I have to wait on him a little while longer to find out specifically what he intends to do with the gifts that he has given me (I want to be able to utilize everything that he has given me.). Sometimes I myself still get very anxious to help the Lord in any way that I can, and I do as far as witnessing, worshipping
etc..These are things that he has told us to do in the bible. But making a committment to show up at a Mental Health Facility for Praise and Worship would be one of those things that the Lord would have to birth in my heart. I would have to know that is what he wants me to do for him. Have you prayed and asked the Lord what he wants you to do for him? If so what did he say?

Hi Nadine,
I am learning to play the classical guitar. I love it.
There is definitely healing in music. Remember how David used to play the harp for King Saul. The Lord loves to move through and use music. I don't know why, but he just does.

Let me know when you have tested,
Kalvin
Yes, you can listen to LifeTalk Radio and LifeTalk Kids on dial-up modems.
We don't offer LifeTalk Music because music would sound quite bad at anything less than 64k.
Please find all your link options at the following URL.
http://www.lifetalk.net/listenHere.html
You will find 11 streams to try all of which are used quite a bit. Most people who use the dial-up are from Africa.
Hope that helps,
Kalvin
